Private & Luxury Island Journeys
Sumba Tour Packages 2026
From weekend escapes to full island odysseys — every Sumba trip package is custom-designed by our expert local team for discerning luxury travellers.
Sumba Island is unlike anywhere else in Indonesia. Where Bali offers temples and rice terraces, Sumba delivers raw, untouched beauty — megalithic tombs older than Angkor Wat, pristine pink-sand beaches, and the extraordinary Pasola War Festival that has been celebrated for over a thousand years. Our Sumba tour packages are designed to give you access to the authentic, the remote, and the remarkable — with every detail handled by people who call this island home.
As a Juara Holding certified operator, Sumba Pasola designs every itinerary with luxury standards in mind: private vehicles, premium accommodations, hand-picked guides, and zero hidden costs. We have been operating on Sumba since 2015 and have guided thousands of guests from every corner of the world.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions About Sumba Tour Packages
What is the best time to visit Sumba Island?
The dry season (May–October) offers the clearest skies and easiest road conditions. However, February–March is the best time if you want to witness the Pasola Festival — the sacred annual ceremony that is Sumba’s single most extraordinary event. We operate tours year-round with itineraries adapted to seasonal conditions.
How do I get to Sumba Island?
Sumba has two airports: Tambolaka (West Sumba) and Waingapu (East Sumba). Both are served by daily flights from Bali (Ngurah Rai Airport) and Jakarta. Typical flight time from Bali is 1.5–2 hours. We can assist with flight recommendations and airport transfers.
Are the tour packages all-inclusive?
Our packages include: private vehicle and driver, English-speaking guide, selected accommodation, daily breakfast, and all entrance fees mentioned in the itinerary. International flights, travel insurance, and personal expenses are not included. We believe in complete price transparency — no hidden fees.
Can I combine Sumba with Bali or Komodo?
Yes! We offer combined itineraries: Sumba + Bali and Sumba + Komodo. These are ideal for international travellers who want to experience multiple Indonesian islands on a single trip. We coordinate all logistics, making the combination seamless.

Why Book Through Sumba Pasola
Booking a Sumba tour through an operator based in Bali or Jakarta means your trip is managed by people who fly into Sumba occasionally, follow a standard script, and leave. Booking through Sumba Pasola means your trip is managed by people who wake up on this island every morning, who know every road, village chief, and seasonal variation intimately, and who have a personal reputation in these communities that they protect with every tour they run. The difference in experience quality is significant and immediate.
All Sumba Pasola tour packages operate on a fully private basis. You will never be grouped with strangers or locked into a fixed departure schedule. This private format allows us to adjust every itinerary based on weather conditions, road access, and your personal energy levels on any given day. If you discover a beach you love and want to stay longer, we adjust. If rain makes a waterfall trek inadvisable, we swap activities. This flexibility is only possible with a private operator who knows the island well enough to improvise intelligently.
Our pricing philosophy is complete transparency. Every quote we provide is fully itemised — accommodation, transport, guide fees, entrance tickets — with no hidden costs or surprise additions. We believe honest pricing builds the trust that brings guests back year after year. Over forty percent of our annual guests are either returning visitors or referrals from previous guests — a retention rate that speaks directly to the integrity of our service and pricing.
