Frequently Asked Questions
Is the drive between West and East Sumba difficult?

Can I see whale watching on this tour?
Between June and September, humpback whales migrate through the waters south of Sumba. We can arrange a boat excursion from the southern coast on Day 3 or 6, subject to weather and seasonal conditions.

🏅 Why 7 Days is the Ideal Sumba Duration
Sumba is larger and more diverse than most travellers realise. West Sumba and East Sumba feel like different islands — different landscapes, different cultural traditions, different vibes. A 7-day itinerary gives you enough time to experience both thoroughly, without the rushed feeling that shortens experiences into snapshots.
Uniquely, the 7D/6N package includes time in Sumba’s rarely-visited south coast — secluded beaches accessible only by 4WD, wild coastlines that feel untouched, and village communities that rarely encounter tourists. This is the Sumba that Instagram hasn’t discovered yet.
Full Island Coverage
